A film festival, in support of World Environment Day, is being held at the University of Yucatan, in the Mexican city of Merida.
The festival, held yearly since 2011, will be held between 3-7 June and showcase films that highlight the environmental crisis.
The festival has been launched with the support of SUNCINE Barcelona, the oldest environmental film festival, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Swedish Government.

A United Nations-backed coalition of over 1,000 stakeholders from over 100 countries launched an action plan to digitize the fight against the climate crisis.
The Action Plan for a Sustainable Planet in the Digital Age, launched by the Coalition for Digital Environmental Sustainability (CODES). The plan aims to help reorient and prioritize the application of digital technologies to meet the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to address the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss and pollution and waste.

A United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) event for Stockholm+50 will look at how we can change our consumption and production patterns by scaling up circularity and sustainability.
Financing Circularity: for a sustainable recovery and green jobs, organised by the UNEP Finance Initiative, will bring together financial institutions, development banks, UN agencies and other partners. The financial sector is essential in scaling up financing for circularity, and the event will also look at how increased circularity could be funded.

As we approach World Environmental Day 2022 on 5 June Restor will celebrate its one year anniversary.
The Restor community, which brings together over 190,00 sites dedicated to restoration projects across the globe, has grown from under 500 members to over 7,500 in a year.
